My graphic novel project is an idea I've been playing with since 2003, let's call it RS. The characters and plot line are inspired by my testimony as a Christian woman.

RS is a story about Ursa Reono, a quiet, melancholy little girl that harbours a dark secret: She is haunted by monsters, by her past, and haunted by the battles that take place deep in her psyche. It is a story of sorrow, tragedy, pain and love. More than a lover's love, but a love between father and daughter. The only love that never ends.

In writing this story, I wanted to illustrate the true struggles of a little girl, a Christian girl that becomes severely unstable as she is worn down by life's challenges. As she faces adversity, she grows up in her turmoil; a tragedy that begins to turn when she meets a young, ambitious boy by the name of Odokimono who has difficulty finding the safety of a "light" once lost; while Ursa struggles to find light she never really had.

I have chosen to post ideas, sketches and some artwork from RS here. Things will slowly progress as I continue writing.
